Album Review: MCND Age - MCND

MCND know how to make a catchy tune and they have known since they debuted early last year with Ice Age and later with their comeback with Nanana. These songs, especially the former, would get stuck in my head for days. MCND are a group that makes earworms. So with this album I was expecting a comeback that delivers on that front. And man was I right. MCND certainly have made their catchiest and most fun album yet.

The lead single from this album, Crush, has to be their catchiest song yet. With a funky beat full of intense bass and a simple chorus, it's bound to get stuck in your head for weeks. It's a fun song that is perfect for a jam session. The bops don't stop there though, as this album has a few other tunes for your ears to be blessed to. Ko, Ok! has a fun synth melody and great raps that MCND have impressed with even before their debut. Player has got a sick drop and a chorus that is fun. They also once again hit with their impressive rapping that blows me away. This one is surely one of my favorites from this record. Outro has got a hip-hop groove and some of the best raps from them I've heard. It's full of swag and impressive flows. This one is also one of my favorites. Not Over closes the record with what starts as a chill groove but explodes into this intense chorus with loud synths. It's a great closer to this short record.

MCND really have proved they are capable of so much and this album is definitely my favorite of theirs that they have dropped so far. It's got catchy grooves, intense raps, beautiful vocal melodies, and sick beats. It's been interesting to see how much they've improved since their debut and they still have no signs of stopping. They continue to blow me away.
