NCT is K-Pop's biggest boygroup. With 23 members and an ever growing roster of boys that are split into 4 different groups; NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, and NCT U (a subunit that switches the roster for every song) it can be intimidating to get into. But, that doesn't mean they aren't enjoyable. The last time all of them were together was in 2018 with their album, Empathy; there were only 18 boys and WayV didn't exist yet. With the new additions, fans were excited to see what the NCT boys would bring to the table and they certainly delivered.
Resonance covers the spectrum in terms of moods. There's everything from nice ballads (From Home, Light Bulb) to sexy crooner bops (Make a Wish (Birthday Song), Nectar). Each song really showcases the talents of all the boys. Each NCT U subunit is perfectly formed to showcase the talents each boy brings. This also allows for each boy to get a chance to shine and leaving no one behind.
The one thing Resonance does well is bring sex appeal. Songs like the opener, Make A Wish (Birthday Song), Nectar, and Volcano, are songs that come to mind. The beats are smooth and the lyrics are blush worthy. The opener Make A Wish, especially sets a good tone for the record. Full of electrifying beats and low tone raps, you're sent into a different realm. It's a song that really gets you moving.
The unit songs are also very enjoyable. Deja Vu is NCT Dream's contribution to the record. It's a noise song that absolutely drives me wild. It's everything I expect from an NCT Dream song. They're arguably the most innovative subunit and it certainly pays off here. Nectar, WayV's contribution, follows immediately after. This is another sexy bop that really gets you moving. Then there's NCT 127's contribution which is Music, Dance. This is a catchy dance song that would make for a great dance party.
All in all, NCT really showcase how much they've grown since their debut in 2016. This album is packed full of boys and jams to keep you going for days. Every song showcases a different mood which means it's really got something for everyone. But honestly, if you just want to have a fun time this record is definitely for you. I definitely will be playing this record on repeat for a while.

These songs open the record and they're so good. Make A Wish is a sexy bop that really sets the tone for what the record is about. Misfit on the other hand, is a fun 90s inspired hiphop song that features the rappers from all the groups. I can't not love it. Especially with a beat like that. These songs are like complete opposites of each other, but they both can make you dance instantly.

The subunit songs are all in the same realm. They all showcase the sounds that each group is known for. Going through these songs is like a little sweet treat on an already sweet record. Volcano is another NCT U bop that opens the record and it's got this dirty synth that I can't not enjoy. Plus, the chorus is insanely catchy. It's a sexy dance floor song that can't go wrong.
