Album Review: Zero: Fever Pt. 3 - Ateez

Ateez are one of the strongest boy groups around. They've got one of the best rap lines K-Pop has ever seen, insane choreography, and the strongest vocal unit ever. And they certainly don't go unnoticed. They got second on the competition show Kingdom (right behind Stray Kids), their albums are constantly hitting number 1, and they've sold millions of copies of said albums. So now, they're here continuing their reign as one of the top boy groups with their latest album, Fever Pt. 3.

Fever pt. 3 is the continuation of their album series, Fever. In part 1, we had some top tracks like Thanxx, To The Beat, and Fever showcased their bright and fun side. In part 2, there was Fireworks and Take Me Home that really brought their intense side to the forefront. Now, in part 3, we have a good mixture of both.

Fever Pt. 3 is an album where every song feels like it could be a title track. This is probably why this was an album where fans got to choose what title track they wanted (this is a method they have used in the past). The fans were to pick between the bright and sunny, Eternal Sunshine, or the dark and brooding, Deja Vu. Deja Vu won and it's hard not to see why. The instrumental is intense and the guys really bring out their sex appeal with their crazy raps and sexy vocals. Eternal Sunshine sure is a good contender though. Here, these guys give a windows-down tune where they belt out some heavenly vocals over a groovy bassline.

But it's no lie when I said that every track could be a title track. Rocky is a hardcore bop where the rap line really shines. Feeling Like I Do really follows in Eternal Sunshine's footsteps by delivering a fun, summery tune. All About You is a low-key groove where their vocal line gets their chance to deliver some magical harmonies. Then, there's the closer Not Too Late which is a great, emotional ballad. This is a complete package of fun bops and intense moments where everyone in Ateez really shines.

Fever Pt. 3 is the best of both worlds. It's an album that really showcases their more aggressive side but also their softer, more chill side. It's a great way to continue the Fever series and it's a great album for new fans of Ateez to see what they're about. It's certainly got top contention for album of the year.
