Single Review: Obsession - WONHO

Wonho has been seeing global domination since his solo debut in 2020. His music has brought fans from every corner as he attracts them with his fun songs and sexy swagger. From his debut with Open Mind that showed the world his sexy side to his last title track, Blue, which can only be described as a cutesy love song, Wonho has shown all sides of himself. And on his 1st single album, Obsession, Wonho once again brings the heat.

Obsession features two songs that both have some serious basslines and funky grooves to really get you dancing. The title track, Eye On You, has this house-esque beat with some wild synths that infect your body. From the get-go, you're transported to a wild world that Wonho builds beautifully. Wonho brings out his sex appeal as he sings over this fun beat. He also builds up this song incredibly as he goes from verses to choruses. The song is sexy, addicting, and totally ready for a party.

The b-side to this track, Somebody, is more emotional but it builds to a chorus that features a nice pop instrumental. Wonho's voice really shines on this track. He really knows how to make the song build and make it climatic. It's a great pop song that I could see playing over the radio. It's also performed fully in English which is great for those who want some all-English songs.

Wonho knows how to bring the heat into everything he does. Every song he releases is full of passion, fire, and emotion. He transports you to another world. Obsession is no different from his past releases. There are dance-able beats, sexy vocals, emotional vocals, climactic builds; it's a complete package wrapped up in two songs.
