Omega X exploded onto the scene this summer with their debut album and track, Vamos. It was an album that showed all sides of them with explosive instrumentals, hardcore raps, soft vocals, and fun jams to dance along to. They really showcased their own style and proved to be one of the best debuts of the year. It helps that this band is made up of band members from other disbanded groups. Omega X was a second chance for these guys to make it big and they certainly are proving themselves. With their hot debut out of the way, it was time to start a streak of fire tracks and What's Goin' On certainly starts that streak.
Their first single album consists of two tracks; the title, What's Goin' On, and its b-side, Baila Con Ox. Each track features heavy EDM beats and instrumentals, impressive raps, and nice vocals to make the tracks build.
In the title track, there's an undeniable swag that is present. Their rap line takes control of the song in the verses which give it the hardcore feeling as they rap over these club-ready beats. Their vocal line isn't forgotten though because they help build to the climax that happens during each chorus. Speaking of choruses, this chorus is so catchy and you will find this song getting stuck in your head from the first listen.
These guys continue with their wild side on the b-side, Baila Con Ox. They make it easy to go crazy as they chant over this huge instrumental that has some crazy EDM synths and heavy bass. Their rap line once again delivers some incredible raps but the real big moments are the way the vocal line helps bring this track to the explosive chorus. Their vocal melodies really hit it out of the park. This song is perfect for any party.
Omega X are beginning their streak of hits. What's Goin' On is explosive, fun, and ready for a party. These guys have flair and a unique sound that really makes them stand out. Consider What's Goin' On for your next party and consider Omega X as your new favorite boy group.
