Treasure are YG's newest boy group who finally made their debut this year with their track Boy (which I wrote about here). Since their debut they have released a track called I Love You which also knocked my socks off. In the couple months since they have debuted, they have already showed massive growth and improvement and MMM is certainly a little glimpse of that.
MMM features Treasure showing a very mature sound even though it's only their third single. Produced by the same producers who made some of the hardest iKon songs and crazy Blackpink drops have made Teasure's ultimate bop. Their rappers, Hyunsuk, Haruto, and Yoshi really take control of this song with their insane flows that only seasoned rappers could take on. I shouldn't be surprised as YG has produced some of the most esteemed rappers in K-Pop (G-Dragon, CL, Lisa and Jennie, Bobby). But this song is full of so much swagger that it will knock your socks off in the first listen. With the intoxicating beat and catchy hooks, it's bound to make you go crazy. I also need to talk about the choreography in this track. Because while it's simple, it's insanely good and their synchronization and consistency is on par with senior groups.
Treasure have showcased all parts of them since debut but MMM is just the cherry on top of an already great discography they are proving to have. They have yet to disappoint in showcasing so many sounds and sides of them. There's so many places for Treasure to go but I, for one, cannot wait to see where they end up. Treasure are certainly rookies of the year.
