Monsta X are the kings of the all-English song. Their album, All About Luv, was released last year and was the first all-English album by a K-Pop group. On it, they delivered some low-key jams and smooth grooves that could please any crowd. Songs like You Can't Hold My Heart, Middle Of The Night, and Love U are on constant rotation and others like Beside U seem to have a grip on the K-Pop community to this day. It was certainly an album ahead of its time. Now, they're getting back into the groove with a new all-English song, One Day.
One Day marks their first release since their leader, Shownu, departed for his mandatory military service (although he is a part of the song) and it's a very fitting song for the occasion. This song is quite emotional. It's about hoping you'll grow back into love with someone again and the guys pour their souls into this song to help give it more emotion. Each of them delivers some real nice vocals (Yes, including the rap line) and they certainly sing their hearts out. These guys harmonize so beautifully that you'll hear them sing and think the heavens have opened up. This is all done over a soft guitar instrumental that really carries them and is a great canvas for their beautiful vocals. It's not to be missed.
