SM's super group featuring members from the iconic boy groups Shinee, NCT (127 and WayV), and EXO is finally back! After their breakout and iconic single, Jopping, and their self titled EP released last year, the hype for them has been immense. As fans eagerly await their first album, Super One which is supposed to be released next month, SuperM released 100. As someone who has been eagerly awaiting this comeback it was hard to enjoy this single at first but now I realize how much of a bop this is.
100 features this SuperM sound that they've already made for themselves. It's heavy and hard hitting much like Jopping and other songs like Super Car and Let's Go Everywhere. And it's got the recipe for success. Mark Lee's verses while they aren't long, are just as iconic as any of his other raps. Taemin and Baekhyun's vocals stand out the most in the track and my god are they beautiful. While at first it might feel a little weird listening to, the more I listen to it the more I absolutely love it. It's certainly a grower.
100, while it's not the best SuperM song, it's certainly got me hyped for this record. SM really did the world a treat by putting these guys together. Taemin begins the track by singing "do you want do you want what we got?" and all I can say is yes. I can't wait for this record.
