On Repeat: Hula Hoops (ft. Beenzino, Hwasa) - DPR Live

If it's one thing for certain is that the Korean music scene is full of summer vibes. There are many groups and soloists who make tracks that perfectly encapsulate the summery mood. The songs are typically full of dance grooves and upbeat lyrics. And while there have been many songs for the summer delivered (think Butter by BTS) none come even close to Hula Hoops by DPR Live.

Hula Hoops has this atmospheric synth that bounces throughout the entire song and it gets you bopping your head from the get-go. The drums then add a nice groove that make it perfect for chilling in the sun. Thenm DPR Live (real name: Hong Dabin) starts off the song by delivering the catchiest hook you'll ever hear. It's guaranteed to become an earworm instantly.

Dabin also picked the right people to back him up in this song. He, himself, adds a nice chill rap to go along to this groove. But then Beenzino starts in and totally backs him up which makes the song even greater. These two work so well together it's almost criminal. Hwasa also delivers a nice vocal in the bridge that just wraps it all together nicely.

Hula Hoops deserves to be on your playlist. Not only is it a groove but it's also perfectly chill. DPR Live and Beenzino really flow well together to make this song great and then Hwasa delivers a perfect bridge to really tie it all together. It's a geat song for the rest of summer as you lay in the sun and relax.
