Target fell into my radar recently after they accidentally went viral in the K-Pop community, specifically on Tiktok. One of the members, Woojin, made this happen by making fun of their band name by introducing his group as Target (the group. Not the store). And naturally, I love humor, so I had to check this group out and see what they were like. A Youtube search wielded this track and I was sold instantly!
Baby Come Back Home is definitely not a song you expect. With it's title and video thumbnail I was half expecting it to be a soft ballad or at least a softer, more contemplative break-up track. But nope! This song is an absolute banger. Target fill your senses with noisy guitar riffs, messy synths, and a dance-y beat. The instrumental is wild and ready for you to go wild as it fills your eardrums. Target also deliver on their wild hip-hop flows that almost get aggressive in some parts. Their vocals are also really good and give a nice refresher to the more aggressive sections this song has.
Baby Come Back Home is a K-Pop that takes over your senses. It's amazing to see a K-Pop group that got little recognition, make their way onto people's maps. I'm certainly intrigued by them now because of this track. It's hard, a little aggressive, and most importantly, it's a banger. I totally recommend it.
